Legal Assistant
Innes Johnston is a leading firm of Fife-based solicitors, delivering legal services to individuals and businesses across Fife and Scotland. We have a team of solicitors within the firm supported by several registered paralegals and other support staff who are all on hand to provide clients with the highest standard of service.
Innes Johnston are looking to recruit a new legal assistant. The role will be based in our Glenrothes office but may require working in either of our Leven or Kirkcaldy offices from time to time. The role will be full time which is usually Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm but there is some flexibility in terms of the working hours.
This is an exciting opportunity with room for progression for the correct person. Initially there will be an expectation that the candidate is able to deal with administrative tasks such as arranging appointments, typing and call handling but the role will also involve training with a Partner in the firm to assist in the completion of Immigration Applications as well as Wills and Power of Attorney. The starting point for this training will be commensurate with successful candidate’s experience.
Someone who already has some legal knowledge would be ideal for this role although this is not a prerequisite. Previous administrative experience is also preferable but an interest in the law and keenness to progress is essential.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
