Mercury Holidays is a travel company based in Sevenoaks providing award-winning holidays for 40 years. We're currently undergoing an internal transformation focusing on customer centricity and data-driven marketing to create a leading digital platform.
We are looking for a Data Engineer and a Data Analyst who are passionate about turning data and information into valuable insights.
What you'll be doing

Implementing and maintaining data pipelines into our data lake

Applying ETL and ELT techniques to raw data

Assisting the Senior Data Analyst in producing dashboards and running reports

Filtering, cleansing and auditing of data to ensure data integrity and compliance with applicable regulations

Taking ownership of the reporting layer over time
What we’re looking for
-
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
-
Proven working experience as a data engineer, data analyst or business analyst

Good knowledge of reporting packages (BI Tools), databases (SQL), and Python
-
Strong analytical skills to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Good communication skills with the ability to produce engaging presentations and reports
Additional skills that could be beneficial

PySpark
-
Experience with Salesforce, Amazon Web Services (Athena, S3, Glue) / cloud architectures would be beneficial.
