Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Account Manager who understands the financial services industry and has experience of managing relationships with commercial organizations.
About the role:
You will be working for a not for profit organization whose key strategic priority is to partner with mainstream banks and financial services to increase provision of services so that mainstream financial services serve customers in vulnerable circumstances, either directly or through funding other providers. The initial focus of this role will be managing relationships with mainstream banks and other financial service organizations to build on existing partnerships and identify areas where they can work together to improve outcomes for people in financially vulnerable circumstances.
As Account Manager you will develop relationships at mid to senior levels in financial services firms to build partnerships that help shape the provision and development of financial products and services for people in vulnerable circumstances. This will be partly through developing a deep understanding of best practice, the barriers and enablers to extending provision and working to secure commitments from mainstream financial services organizations on their contributions towards serving this customer group.
You will report to the Head of Engagement, working with her to deliver on key areas of work including framing the landscape, strategic relationship planning and building partnerships that surface opportunities and commitments to action.
You will also need to bring with you the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrate the ability to form successful collaborative partnerships with senior stakeholders and know how to navigate large organizations
- Evidence strong oral and written communication skills and self-assurance working alongside and presenting recommendations at an executive level within organisations
- Have an understanding of financial inclusion and how products and services result in an improvement in outcomes for customers
- Be able to deal with complexity and uncertainty and work under your own initiative
- Adopt innovative and creative approaches to problem solving with multiple stakeholders
- Be great at building relationships at all levels
