Writtle Surgery are recruiting for a clinical coder to work 4 days per week. Your main duties and areas of responsibility will be:
- Coding clinical documents accurately and within a 48 hour timescale
- Forwarding clinical documents to clinicians following the Practice Protocol
- Carrying out clinical document follow-up actions following the Practice Protocol
- Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) – you will be responsible for allocated QOF clinical indicators to
achieve targets for the Practice
The qualities we are looking for in this role:
- A strong attention to detail, ability to work to a high standard and at a fast pace
- Ability to manage own workload, but will have the support of the Coding/QOF team and line manager
- A team player, flexible and able to cover when Coders on annual leave or sick
- We would prefer candidates who have experience in Clinical Coding/QOF/SystmOne clinical system although we would welcome applications from candidates who have NHS or Primary Care experience in other similar roles.

- Part dispensing practice List size – just over 8000 patients
- 15-minute appointments
- No extended access commitment
- Full nursing and administration support; PCN physio, paramedic, pharmacists, mental health nurse and social prescribers
- Low home visit rate and most covered by paramedics
- CQC rating Good
- We use SystmOne as our clinical system
