Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join the Wheelchair Service which works across North and North East Lincolnshire.

The post involves working in a cross-site service providing assessment for wheelchairs, special seating and pressure reducing cushions in a range of community settings. The team consists of therapists, assistant practitioners, technicians and admin support staff.

The post holder will complete holistic assessments with reference to the specific local criteria for provision of a range of appropriate wheelchairs, special seating and pressure reducing/relieving cushions. They will provide review to ensure these meet needs and are integrated in the individuals daily routine.

This is an ideal opportunity for a registered professional to specialise in this rewarding area.

The service currently operates across five days.

For physiotherapy applicants there would be an expectation of participating in the on-call physiotherapy respiratory rota also.

Where the successful applicant does not meet all essential criteria this post may be offered as band 5-6 developmental opportunity.

This post will be based within the North Lincolnshire area of the service.
