The Team: Our Finance team has a large part to play in the success of our business. We are based across a few locations, but operate as one team, and work together to create a positive, productive and highly efficient finance department within News UK. This role sits within our Payments team, the team are enthusiastic, motivated and a collaborative group of people, with a strong sociable team spirit.
The Role: You will be responsible for the payment of goods and services to our Suppliers, Editorial and Broadcasting content for Contributors and Talent across News UK.This is a busy role requiring someone who is personable, used to working in a fast paced environment and prides themselves on attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
Day to day you will:
Manage all vendor changes following GDPR and bank validation processes.
Lead the management of Risk Center including providing training and support to the business.
Action cancelled and returned payments, liaising with the team, business and Treasury.
Manage vendor maintenance queue in VIM.
Take control of the vendor maintenance mailbox - ensuring queries are dealt with on a timely basis.
Run monthly reports including debit balance and duplicate payments.
What we are looking for from you:
Good excel skills and the ability to learn new systems.
Accurate and a good attention to detail.
Experience of working in a fast paced environment.
SAP, VIM & OCR previous experience of using these systems would be useful but not essential.
