Job Description

It’s an exciting time to join us in Audit. Quality is at the heart of how we build trust in society. We bring passionate people together to work inclusively and celebrate our successes. We put the team first and pride ourselves on our global reputation as a trusted place to do business. We recognise Audit as a deep specialism and give our people access to the best opportunities and lots of variety.

Audit Centre of Excellence

Our Audit Centre of Excellence (CoE) teams are based in four locations – Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow, all providing innovative solutions for our clients across the UK. As part of our CoE you’ll utilise cutting edge technology to work closely with our Audit teams from across the country, improving the quality, efficiency, and innovation in the more complex areas of an audit. Our CoE teams primarily focus on Pensions Assets and Liabilities, Share Based Payments and the Audit of Tax. Joining the CoE, you’ll develop specialist Audit knowledge and gain exposure to a wide range of clients from FTSE 100 to owner managed businesses across a variety of industries.

Programme

Our paid graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.

What you'll do

Our CoE teams are specialists in some of the most complex areas of an Audit. You’ll begin your specialist learning pathway from the very start and will soon find yourself discussing pensions reporting and financial statements with Finance Directors of some of our biggest clients. Your knowledge will develop at pace. You’ll learn on the job, taking responsibility early on.

As you progress through your early career, if you choose to, you may have the opportunity to work within our wider Audit business, or you can continue to develop deeper expertise as you progress within our Centre of Excellence team. Either way, you’ll benefit from a quality training programme and gaining your Chartered Accountancy qualification.

What you'll gain

During our three year programme, you will also study towards the Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification.

What you'll need

You'll need to have achieved or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.

You can find more information about this role including start date, on our website.
