Job Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated nursery nurse for a rotational post between our 16 cot level 2 neonatal unit and transitional care ward. If you are a professional and caring nursery nurse we want you to join our team to help us continue to provide high quality care for all our patients and their families.

The post holder provides designated care to infants under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Midwives. The post holder will teach parentcraft to the parents/carers of the infants in the unit. The post holder will be expected to supervise and guide less experienced staff.

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is the main provider of hospital services for the population of Reading, Newbury, Wokingham and the towns and villages of west Berkshire.

At our heart we are a local hospital that works with NHS and social care partners to provide excellent healthcare services for over 500,000 people who currently live in our catchment area. We also provide specialist hospital services beyond the county’s borders.

Works as an effective team member. Understands the importance of team
working in the delivery of high quality patient care. Demonstrates excellent
two-way communication with parents/carers and the ward team.
