Accounts Payable Assistant
Salary: Up to £27,000
Location: Lacock, Wiltshire
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours
Stonegate are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to take ownership of the accounts payable function across several entities; providing a critical role in the effective management of our working capital and supplier base. Main focuses will include managing and monitoring what the company owes suppliers, preparing and processing weekly payments for all goods and services, checking and coding invoices, reconciling supplier accounts and resolving any purchase enquiries or disputes.

The business is looking to continue to build on existing strong retailer relationships, enhance its strong branded reputation with further innovative egg branding, optimise on egg packing performance and extend customer and product development across both it’s Shell Egg and Egg Innovation divisions.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate processing of AP invoices from receipt to payment
- Timely resolution of enquiries or disputes both internal and external, escalating where necessary
- Enforcement of AP best practices; monitoring, training and driving compliance across the business
- Reconciliation of supplier statements and aged creditor balances
- Preparing and processing weekly payment runs, company credit cards and expenses
- Support external audit processes
- Management and maintenance of all AP master data
- Continually reviewing procedures and systems to identify and deliver efficiency improvement opportunities
- Ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications / Experience:
- At least 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable function, ideally within a high volume production/ manufacturing environment
- Experience dealing with a large number of suppliers on a weekly basis
- Intermediate knowledge if Excel, to include use of standard formulas and manipulating system generated reports for presentation and review
- Experience with JD Edwards helpful, but not essential
