Job Objective
In this role you will support our Milton Keynes team to produce the highest quality bread and pastries from our state-of-the-art mechanised line. As a Bakery Operative you will play a key role in delivering these quality products at scale and delivering exceptional attention to detail.
Duties

Carry out production activity to a consistently high standard of quality

Carry out safe manual handling techniques
-
Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment at all times

Report any machinery defects to the Engineering team / Manager

Follow the training you have been given (e.g. to setup machines, carry out automated machine washes etc.)

Support your colleagues in carrying out your duties
-
Adhere to high standards of food safety, food hygiene and quality standards

Clean as you go, empty full bins, remove any waste from the floors and clean machinery

Complete all paperwork and checks as required

Ensure correct stock rotation as required
Person Specification

Experience gained in a bakery/ manufacturing desirable but not essential

Good standard of literacy and numeracy required

Proactive and able to adapt to new requirements

Good attention to detail

Ability to act in a professional and courteous manner

Able to work as part of a team

Ability to manage change and work effectively under pressure
-
Able to work on own initiative and able to work flexible hours
