We currently have an exciting opportunity for a SQL Developer to join our established team here in Data Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take the reigns and perform a range of tasks involved in the internal development of the Society's applications.
Key responsibilities:
- You will be joining the team of Developers who provide bespoke solutions, that interface with our core banking system (UFSS), as well as supporting the existing code base

You will be working with our main third party supplier Unisys on new solutions, support issues and the implementation of future upgrades
-
Working towards agreed deadlines and provide accurate recording against projects and present figures in weekly submissions
-
Developing solutions to site standards
-
Ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements
Key skills and experience:
-
The role requires specific coding skills, namely:
-
SQL
-
PLSQL
-
XML
-
VBscripting
-
Powershell
-
VB.Net
-
Code tuning and support of live applications.
-
Good communications skills, both oral, and written.
-
Ideally at least 2 years’ experience within a relevant role, coding SQL.
-
Ability to lead/structure work being undertaken by junior members of staff.
-
Time/Work load management.
-
Knowledge of Unisys platform UFSS would be a definite advantage.
