Electrical Service Engineer - Balers and Conveyors
Whitham Mills Engineering specialises in fully automatic recyclables baling, conveying and sorting systems for some on the UK’s largest retailers and waste companies:

- Design and manufacture of new equipment
We supply all types of waste equipment including fully automated balers, conveyor systems, shredders, and recyclables sorting systems.
The role comes with significant amounts of overtime hours and enhanced overtime pay (1.5x and 2x hourly rate).
The basic full-time hours are 39hrs per week (Mon – Thurs 8.00am – 17:00pm, Fri 8.00am – 17.00pm including ½ hour for lunch) but the job also includes enhanced overtime rates and will require staying away from time-to-time. The position requires the candidate to be on call 1 in 7.

Main purpose of the job:
Working closely with the other service/installation engineering team members to carry out:
- Installation of baler, conveyors and waste sorting equipment.
- Service inspection of equipment in line with service check sheets/procedures.
- Electrical breakdown and fault finding on recycling equipment.
- Electrical repairs and refurbishment of Recycling equipment.
- Training of safe operation in the use of recycling equipment.
Main duties will include:
- Working safely and to the required standards.
- Working alone or as a team member.
- Servicing, breakdown, repairs and installation of Recycling and Waste handling equipment.
- Completing job reports / check sheets and emailing to the office on completion of jobs.
- Communicate with customer of faults, parts, repairs and work carried out and required.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Full, clean driving license.
- Self-Motivated and reliable.
- Communicate both face to face and over the telephone in a confident friendly manner.
