The role
As a Customer IT Support Representative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be key in contributing to the continued UK’s defence and deterrent.
Day to day, you’ll be exposed to applications that are pan-defence and include database applications through to big data and analytics, within our collaborative working environment that supports the Ministry of Defence (MOD), their industry partners, submarine and ship IT users. You’ll be adaptable and won’t be phased by changing priorities, actively seeking new ideas and techniques to take us forward into the future.
- Working with our customers and stakeholders to develop training packages that meet their requirements
- Working with Project Managers, Developers and Business Analysts to realise the requirements of a customer
- Provide and deliver training for applications via floor walking, 1-2-1 sessions, classroom training and on-line training
- Responsible for compliance with DRDL principles, policies and working practices for service support and service delivery and not to deviate from these without authorisation
- Responsible for responding and resolving customer support calls, arranging visits and travelling to MOD and Tier 1 industry partners sites.
- Producing programmes of work for customer site visits, ensuring compliance, and conducts LFEs upon return
- Ensuring all IT training materials are kept up to date and regularly reviewed
Essential experience of the Customer IT Support Representative
- Proven work experience as a Customer IT Support Representative, IT Trainer, Technical trainer, IT Course Developer, IT Systems Support or similar
- Experience in designing course materials and content creation to a formal corporate standard to provide effective training and user documentation
- Experience of working with stakeholders and representatives at all levels with ability effectively at senior level
- Must hold a Full UK driving license
Your role will be predominantly hybrid working with 1 to 2 days a week in the office. This may increase to meet business or security needs. You’ll also visit MOD Site hubs across the country.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role. You must be a sole UK National.
