Job Description
An exciting opportunity has a risen for an efficient, motivated, and highly organised individual to join our Postgraduate Education Team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
This post is full-time for 37.5 hours per week and based at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital with the expectancy to travel and work from the other main hospital sites.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing or supervising staff, be a confident professional individual, who has excellent interpersonal skills, able to adapt to changing priorities and is enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude
- To provide administrative support to the Postgraduate Education Directorate.
- To provide supervision, training and support for the Postgraduate Administrators across the Trust.
- To act as a key point of contact for all Training grade doctors and Educational and Clinical supervisors at Northumbria.
- To support the development of all postgraduate Education programmes within the Trust.
- To support the Postgraduate Education Manager in quality control

- To provide administrative support to the Postgraduate Education Manager, Directorate Manager, Educational Leads and the Director of Medical Education.
- To provide supervision, training and support for the Postgraduate and Foundation Administrators across the Trust.
- To act as a key point of contact and support projects to improve the training experience for all Training grade doctors and Educational and Clinical supervisors at Northumbria.
- To support the development of all postgraduate Education programmes within the Trust.
- To support the Postgraduate Education Manager in quality control by ensuring systems are in place for robust reporting for Educational Governance, through Education Quality Panels, Strategy Boards and Delivery Groups.
- To promote Postgraduate Education through the Trust’s intranet pages, Communications Department and social media where appropriate.
