Job Description

An excellent opportunity exists to join a dynamic and progressive multi disciplinary team in a Cardiac Rehabilitation service at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled cardiovascular health exercise instructor to join our existing service with Level 4 BACPR Phase IV Exercise Instructor professional qualification essential. The role will include delivering exercise assessment and treatment to cardiac outpatients within Manchester NHS Foundation Trust.

Applicants should demonstrate excellent clinical and organisational skills. We require someone who is a good team worker, and communicator who is flexible with regard to working in a community or hospital setting and who is prepared to maintain high standards of evidence based clinical practice.

We can provide assistance with your training and development.

To support the cardiac rehabilitation of cardiac patients based in Wythenshawe Hospital and community settings. Facilitating individual and group exercise and encouraging behavior change.

The successful candidate will demonstrate good communication skills to engage patients and liaise with external agencies

JOB PURPOSE

To provide physical activity advice, individual exercise assessment and prescription to appropriate cardiovascular out-patients in the clinical setting

To work with the cardiac rehabilitation team to develop and deliver lifestyle behaviour change programmes & exercise services

To support and contribute to safe and effective service delivery eg, equipment checks, cleaning, appointment reminders etc
