How you will be supporting the individual
You will be supporting our customer with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and encouraging skills which will enable them to live their life how they wish to. You will need to have experience of managing a household, supporting with cooking simple meals, shopping, and assisting with managing money. If you have also have experience supporting someone with learning difficulties epilepsy and an ASD diagnosis then we would love to hear from you!
Drivers are preferred but not essential, as shifts will be within the customers own home and will include days/evening/waking nights/sleeps
An example of the shift patterns are below and you must be able to work all shifts on a rolling rota basis.
9am - 9pm / 9am-5pm / 5pm-10pm (sleep in) / 9pm-9am (waking night)
Pay rates - £11.20ph hour + waking night hours / £65 per sleep-in shift
Requirements:
- 12 months experience in a care environment (desirable)
- Skills in managing a household- light cleaning, cooking, shopping and companionship
- Experience and awareness of supporting individuals with behaviours that challenge, learning difficulties and an ASD diagnosis.
- Experience and aware of supporting individuals with Epilepsy is also desirable but not essential as full and comprehensive training package will be delivered around these needs.
