Accounts Assistant
Peterborough
Full Time, Permanent
£23,000 - £27,000 P.A
We are working with a leading company in Peterborough who are low looking for their next accounts star!
An Accounts Assistant role has now become available to provide additional support to the Financial Director. The ideal candidate will have experience within purchase & sales ledger and reconciliations. You will be confident and familiar with accountancy software such as Sage 50 or MS Dynamics and ideally possess an AAT qualification or be time served.
The company is currently going through an exciting period of growth, therefore would suit an accounts person who is adaptable to change and looking for career progression.
What’s involved for the Accounts Assistant
- Managing the purchase ledger
- Process payments as well as invoices
- Reconciliations
- Managing petty cash transactions
- Daily cash reporting
- Process staff expenses
- General accounts and office filing
- Assisting with month end and statutory year end accounts
What you’ll need
- MUST have accounting experience in a similar role
- AAT level 2 or equivalent IDEAL
- Strong Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Working knowledge of an Accounting Package would be advantageous such as SAGE
- Fast thinking and extremely well organised
- The ability to work off your own initiative & troubleshoot.

This is a Full time, permanent Accounts Assistant role, working Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 5pm with a 4:30pm finish on Friday.
