Job Title: Digital Media Officer
Salary: £21,000 per annum
Hours of Work: You will be expected to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, excluding lunch breaks. The role may include occasional evening and weekend unsociable hours.
Location: Blackburn Rovers Football Club, Ewood Park, Blackburn, BB2 4JF.

Overall purpose of the Job: The Digital Media Officer will sit within the Community Trust’s Marketing and Communications team and be responsible for planning, creating and delivering content for the Trust’s various digital channels to tell the story of Blackburn Rovers Community Trust’s vital work and impact.
A key part of the role will be to support the Community Trust’s fundraising and funded programmes by producing compelling human-interest stories that showcase our impact on local people.
The Digital Media Officer will manage all the Community Trust’s social media channels and photography database, alongside producing compelling videos for our digital platforms.
This role will also play an integral role in showcasing other initiatives organised by the Club including their support for other charities and their equality and diversity work. This opportunity would be ideal for a creative writer with experience of using innovative video and audio content to positively promote a charity organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The post holder will:
Lead on the creation and delivery of all digital communications aligned with the Community Trust’s communications and marketing strategy.
Produce captivating written stories for Community Trust and Club channels promoting the positive work the Trust do within the local community and beyond.
Manage the Community Trust’s social media accounts and increase output from community projects, initiatives, and events.
Liaise with the Head of PR and Marketing plus the football club’s communications and marketing teams and help promote Blackburn Rovers as a ‘community-focused football club’.
Film and edit creative community focused content for BRCT online and social channels.
Create excellent visual media using video and photography skills for a variety of platforms.
Consider new digital media opportunities to enhance Blackburn Rovers Community Trust’s reach.
Work with other departments to identify and create expressing emotive stories linked to our impactful provision.
Support project co-ordinators in improving their media output.
Manage the photo and video library, ensuring all content is documented and stored appropriately.
Liaise with Blackburn Rovers Community Trust’s graphic designer to ensure marketing collateral is created in a timely and professional manner.
Perform other duties as required which are considered relevant to the post, identified by the Head of PR and Marketing.
General:
To always be approachable and to represent Blackburn Rovers Community Trust in a professional manner regarding dress, presentation, personal hygiene, attitude, conduct and professionalism. To be able to work flexible and unsociable hours where the role of the job requires including some evenings, weekends, and overnight stays.
