Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for you to join Lincolnshire County Council as a Quality Assurance Officer within the Quality Assurance Team, part of the Public Health Division within Adult Care and Community Wellbeing directorate.


About the Role

The work we do contributes to the continuous improvement of the organisation by:

  • Leading on and developing the use of customer experience to shape and influence services.
  • Ensuring quality assurance is embedded throughout the stages of the commissioning cycle and operational processes.
  • Responding to trends and themes by conducting thematic reviews.
  • Provide findings, conclusions and recommendations to support service improvement.
  • Support monitoring and evidence for assurance frameworks
  • Measure compliance against regulations, legislation, guidance and best practice.

Once appointed to this position you would be aligned to primarily work across the Public Health Division, although this may be interchangeable with other service areas or service demands.

About the Team

Our team provides vital support to Adult Care & Community Wellbeing as a service, we are a well-established team, highly regarded and valued by internal and external customers and over a number of years our work has been widely recognised across the sector.

With this post included there will be eight staff; five officers at Grade 9 and three at Grade 6, the team are very friendly and supportive. All staff have monthly supervision and regular support from the manager and we have dedicated business support for our service area.

The team uses bookable desks at Lancaster House on the Lincoln LCC campus but can work from home or flexibly and at other satellite offices across the county.

About You

We are seeking to appoint someone with the right skills and experience who has; empathy, drive, enthusiasm, flexibility and commitment.

You will need to be a resilient, confident and capable person who is comfortable working autonomously, establish and build excellent working relationships internally, across other agencies, regulated services and communities in Lincolnshire.

As well as excellent people skills you will need a sound understanding of;

  • Qualitative methods and approaches.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • IT, presentation and evidence based reporting skills.

You will need all of these attributes to reliably inform decision making and influence service development and improvement.

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.
