The EMEA Client Financing Sales desk is seeking a London-based Associate / Vice President to help with our growing client-facing repo business. The individual will be covering a broad array of investor types to contribute toward daily workings of the business while also spearheading longer term projects to help advance the business, pursue new revenue opportunities, and streamline current operational tasks. Products covered by the desk include government bonds, credit and EM bonds, interest rate, vanilla and exotic options and inflation-linked products.

The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader across a broad range of commodities markets, with expertise in areas including client risk management, financing solutions and investor products Sales & Trading.
From the largest global institutions to innovative new hedge funds, investors come to Morgan Stanley for sales, trading, and market-making services in almost every type of financial instruments including stocks, bonds, derivatives, foreign exchange, and commodities. Our professionals provide liquidity and content to clients around the world, actively assessing and managing risk, trading securities, and planning and executing transactions in the fast-changing markets. As the needs of our clients become increasingly complex, we often develop customized solutions.
What will you be doing?
Primary sales and client coverage via trade execution, sending market color, trade ideas and fielding ad-hoc client requests for our cross-asset financing platform.
Liaising with research analysts, traders, and other internal partners to deliver MS resources and bespoke content to the team and the client base. Delivering One Firm to our clients is a key part of the role as we are constantly looking at cross divisional solutions for clients.
Identifying areas of business and operational inefficiency and proactively implementing improvements.
What we’re looking for:
• Proven ability to multitask and work with different clients across different products and situations in a fast-paced work environment.
- Highly team oriented, commercially driven and overall eagerness to learn.
- Strong problem-solving skills, easily able to navigate and simplify complex processes .
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong quantitative skills including proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Excel, Programming and Coding knowledge also an added benefit.
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial spirit
