Job Description
Monday to Friday (rotating shifts 6:00am to 14:00pm and 14:00pm to 22:00pm).
Role Purpose:
To organise and manage the operative team on a day to day basis, ensuring all production requirements are met on time and in full without compromising Personnel Safety, Product Quality and Environmental Impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Principle Contact for all Engineering, Planning, Logistics information/requests including enquiries, recording, reporting etc.
- To manage and resolve day-to-day requirements of the team, including Skill Development, Conflict Resolution, Work Levelling etc.
- Ensure documentation is kept up to date, organised and available for inspection.
- To maintain and improve hygiene and 5S standards by reviewing cleaning documents and hygiene schedules.
- To identify and resolve Health & Safety issues, Quality issues, Equipment and Process issues within the area or Team. To maintain a focus on risk reduction.
- Assist with equipment operation whilst achieving daily/weekly production targets.
- Ensure audits are being carried out to the correct standard and paperwork is up to date/completed - 5S, Hygiene, Food Safety, GMP and Start-Up Checklists.
- Ensure all SIC Boards, shift handover/process logs and process recordings are up to date and complete.
- SIC, e-SIC, and KPI board to be fully updated prior to daily Gemba walk ensuring all actions are completed.
- Ensure daily shift handovers are completed with all information provided to next shift.
- Develop and use department Team Leader tours.
- Ensure all material variances are reported with clear action plan developed to resolve any on going issues and stock takes are completed weekly.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Comply fully with the requirements of the HSEQ Policy along with general arrangements detailed within associated documents.
- Comply with all legal and business requirements.
- Ensure clear and effective communications channels are available to all employees and subcontractors.
- Ensure suitable work equipment, personal protective equipment and training is provided and suitable and sufficient safe working methods are devised and adopted which comply with the requirements of Health and Safety.
- Investigate all reported accidents, incidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences and unsafe behaviour in line with Company processes.
- Consult with Heath and Safety Representatives of employees and subcontractors with a view to effectively promoting and developing measures to continuously improve HSQE standards.

- Previous experience in a factory or similar working environment is essential.

- Excellent written and numerical skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Salary
£23,521.34 rising to £23,991.77 from 1st April 2023
