An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead one of our Supply Chains largest APU Engineering Operations as the Engineering Lead of Co-Products Extraction, here at Wissington. Reporting to Paul Turnill, APU Leader, and working closely with the process leads, this leadership role has responsibility for the delivery of all aspects of mechanical, electrical and control engineering reliability for the Chromatography (Pheonix) Plant and the Bioethanol Plant. It will also embrace the Air Liquide (CO2) Supply operations, and any expansion to Chromatography inside it’s engineering remit. The Co Products engineering team will report directly to this role. The £100m invested factory processes are at the heart of the company’s co products value streams, operating for 340 days a year, and deliver a significant contribution to the company P&L, with the 50million litres of Ethanol, 6000tes of Betaine and 75,000tes of Trident Raffinate produced. The recommissioning of CO2 capture is ongoing. The planned outage turnarounds through detailed planning are at the heart of the reliable operations delivery, and are a significant focus for the role.
Lead the APU mechanical and electrical engineers as well as (site dependent) control resource to ensure engineering reliability and compliance. Supporting the APU Leader deliver all aspects of operational performance and actively lead the building and management of the APU engineering budget. Lead using the agreed PS&O processes to create robust gap plans and deliver them within the agreed timeframe and budget. Measure and manage engineering performance within the APU on a daily to long term basis.
