What we're looking for
We are seeking a talented individual to work in our Quality Engineering team as an SDET, working as part of the Quality Engineering Chapter. We would like someone who gets a thrill from working with a talented bunch of Quality Engineers and Developers to help us deliver Quality functionality to our Equals Money customers and support and develop our existing products. Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective test strategies that align with the overall business objectives and quality standards

Define and implement test automation frameworks to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort, using tools such as Cypress, TestCafe, Mocha or Jest

Design, write and execute manual and automated test cases that ensure quality functionality, performance, and security across web, API, iOS and Android mobile apps

Evaluate deliverables against requirements, specifications, and quality standards, and provide detailed and concise feedback to development teams

Plan and manage the involvement of QA in future development work, and ensure effective collaboration with cross-functional teams

Provide Root Cause Analysis and ensure findings are effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders

Mentor and coach junior members of the QA team to develop their skills and improve the overall quality of work

Work closely with Product Owners and Developers to ensure that quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle

Support the ongoing adoption of Agile practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team

Ensure the success of QA projects and initiatives through effective communication and stakeholder management

Expert knowledge of software quality assurance and QA best practices

Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop QA Testers

Proven experience in designing and implementing effective test automation frameworks using tools such as Cypress, Mocha, Jest, TestCafe and BrowserStack

Strong experience in API testing, with expertise in Postman and Restful APIs

Experience with Contract Testing for APIs using Pactflow

Strong programming skills in Node.js and React, with a focus on using Cypress for front-end testing

Experience with performance, load, security, and accessibility testing (desirable)

Experience with Git and code versioning tools

Experience with Ci/CD tools such as CircleCI or similar

Ability to clearly document and troubleshoot complex issues

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional Agile teams

Experience testing eCommerce websites/platforms

Mobile App testing experience in iOS and Android using tools such as BrowserStack

ISTQB Foundation or higher

We operate a hybrid working arrangement where possible, which means that for some roles you will be able to work remotely for some days of the week. However, we still want employees to collaborate in person at both our London and Chester offices, and therefore, candidates will need to still be a comfortable commuting distance from either location for the days you are required to work from or come into the office.
