Job Description

We are hiring for 1 permanent post and 1 fixed term post until Feb 2023 (secondment cover)

The Transformation & Improvement Project Manager role will lead and support the development and delivery of programmes to enable improvement in efficiency, productivity, quality and use of resources across the Trust. The post holder will be required to lead the delivery of projects, engage and develop key stakeholder relationships across the Trust to maximize quality, productivity and efficiency and ensure safe clinical / operational processes are embedded and maintained along with ensuring the project transitions successfully into service delivery. On completion, learning and output from this project will be shared with the Trust and across other organisations where the same approach could be implemented. This will involve large scale and sustainable change across the trust as we move away from existing and outdated processes. Additionally, the post holder will be expected to support the Improvement Team in developing the quality improvement approach within the Trust, and any monitoring and reporting activities associated with these work streams and deputise when needed for the Associate Director of Improvement.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

We have nearly 7,000 members of staff that arePROUD to Carefor nearly one million people. Both hospitals provide full clinical services, including full maternity, emergency and children’s, in addition to a range of community-based services across London, such as award-winning sexual health and HIV clinics.

Our Trust has been rated by the Care Quality Commission as ‘Good’ in all five of the main domains of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led, giving an us overall rating of ‘Good’. We have also been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating for ‘use of resources’ by an NHS Improvement inspection.

Enabling, supporting, and contributing to the overall success of the Trusts Improvement Programme and underpin the Trust strategy and objectives in your specialist areas, using your previous knowledge and involvement in large scales programmes and projects
Demonstrable experience in using project management methodologies such as Agile, Prince2 and/or tools such as MS Project.
