Are you an ambitious planning professional looking to develop your skills in an expanding organisation? Riverway Foods, based in Harlow, is recruiting for a Production Capacity Planner. The role will see you work within our collaborative planning department as we look to take the business to its next stage of development.
Tasks within the role will include:
- 
Operating a bespoke set of tools tailored to Riverway Foods’ requirements 
- 
Managing customer and commercial forecasts using newly developed tools to provide accurate medium-range demand data to generate weekly plans 
- 
Actively managing data to feed into daily production plans 
- 
Issuing daily production plans and considering medium and long-term goals 
- 
Considering key factors including shelf life, fluctuating sales forecasts, line capacity/availability, allergens, equipment availability and ingredient lead time 
- 
Proactively managing stocks and liaising with relevant departments to resolve issues 
- 
Problem-solving skills and making quick decisions 
- 
Scheduling daily work streams to provide an achievable plan 
Skills and experience required:
- 
Ideally, experience in a food manufacturing environment with intermediate to advanced MS Excel knowledge 
- 
Experience in a fresh food or shelf-life factory is an advantage 
- 
Ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders 
- 
Able to demonstrate a broad business awareness 
- 
Full training provided to operate and maintain planning tools
