Client is a 19-year-old boy looking for a PA on a consistent weekly basis to support him in gaining independence for his transition into young adulthood.
He has some mobility needs, hearing loss and some medical issues. He requires a PA with good communication skills who can help encourage him to become more self-sufficient.
He likes films, comic books and computer games. He also enjoys cooking biscuits for our dog and taking him for a short walk to the park. He is easy going and has a good sense of humour, and an outgoing PA who can encourage him to talk more would be ideal. Some experience with PA work and young adults is desirable.
Hours available: 4 hours – ideally Fridays but days may differ, additional hours are often available during holiday periods. Time to be discussed at interview.
Rate of pay: £14.50 per hour weekdays. Weekend rates may differ and are to be discussed during an interview.
This role would be best suited to a responsible, caring individual who possesses excellent communication skills and is reliable.
Duties include:
- Accompanying and supporting my son in accessing the community.
- Instilling a level of motivation and encouragement to remain outgoing and communicative.

- A DBS check will be required. The expense will be met by your employer.
- You must be an enthusiastic individual, as well as reliable, punctual and flexible, with a positive attitude.
- Experience in a similar role is desirable, information will be provided around current needs if required.
- An ability to maintain confidentially and be non-judgemental.
- Possess a keen ability to identify issues and risks which may not be immediately apparent.
