About the Company:

GSM are a long-established modern business based in Fife trading throughout Scotland. The company undertake all electrical work in the domestic, commercial, and industrial markets carrying out all aspects of design, installation, maintenance, testing and fault diagnosis.


As the Apprentice Electrician your key responsibilities will include:

  • Learning from and assisting the lead electrician with different duties.
  • Assisting with the repair of electrical problems.
  • Assembling and installing electrical circuits.
  • Working with panels, conduit, protective devices and switches.
  • Calibrating, maintaining, or installing equipment and related devices
  • Completing electrical installations and carrying out various maintenance duties.
  • Updating work logs.
  • Traveling to client sites.
  • Communicating with clients in a professional manner.


Person Requirements:

The successful candidate will be required to attend college on set days, as well as on site work.

  • A willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work on your own as well as part of a team.
  • General Health and Safety awareness
  • Flexible with working hours
  • A valid driver’s licence or reliable transport is preferred but not essential.


There benefits include 28 days holiday entitlement per year.
