Queens Park Pharmacy in Bournemouth has a vacancy for a full-time pharmacy counter assistant to join our friendly team.
We are a busy and well-respected independent pharmacy located in the Springbourne area of Bournemouth, and we pride ourselves on offering excellent customer care within the local community and beyond.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm, and Saturday 9am to 1pm on a rota basis.
Our ideal candidate will be
· Enthusiastic and self-confident
· Friendly and able to build a good rapport with customers
· Well-organised with good time-management skills
Retail or pharmacy experience will be an advantage, but is not essential, as full training will be given.
As a counter assistant you will
· Provide excellent customer service
· Offer informed advice on appropriate treatment of minor ailments and products
· Support the delivery of professional pharmacy services
· Maintain high standards of the shop appearance through effective merchandising and housekeeping.
· Sell medicines and handle prescriptions in line with the current pharmacy legislation and company policy
· Order, return and maintain stock levels
· Answering the telephone and taking patients prescription requests and handling pharmacy queries.
· Checking orders for both Pharmacy shop and dispensary. Stocking shelves in shop and stock rotation.
· Learning about prescription handout and patient confidentiality. How to become an excellent communicator and treat everyone with respect.
· Delivering medication to patents when main delivery driver is off.
