Northern Property are recruiting for a Maintenance Personager to work as part of our vibrant team in our fast-paced, customer service-driven Estate Agency. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate.
This role entails managing the regular and planned maintenance of our entire Managed Residential & Commercial portfolio. You will be responsible for scheduling property inspections and scheduling planned maintenance. You will also deal with maintenance issues as they arise. You will co-ordinate with Personnel & Tenants to ensure maintenance issues are flagged and resolved within the approved timescales and budget. You will work in a professional manner and demonstrate strong verbal & written communication skills.
DUTIES:
Arranging safety inspections and reports and updating on relevant systems
Scheduling routine property inspections for Residential and Commercial properties
Maintenance handling & co-ordination
Reviewing & issuing property inspections to landlords
Following up on any recommendations made on property inspections with landlords
Updating electronic & printed files with relevant documents
Providing telephone support
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
We are looking for a person with a dynamic and outgoing personality
You should have strong organisation & communication skills
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Excellent customer service skills
Clean UK driving licence and access to a car
A good knowledge of the building structure and ability to spot defects within properties
Excellent communication skills both verbally & written
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office programs and general use
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Work is office based but you will also spend time visiting properties, either for meeting contractors or inspecting works or issues
Because travel within a working day is required, a full driving licence is required
You will be expected to dress smartlyThe successful Maintenance Personager will be responsible for overseeing the repair, maintenance and upkeep of our products, including regularly reporting to both upper management and the CEO. The ideal candidate for this position has an extensive knowledge of how all of our systems function, and will be responsible for identifying efficiencies, managing workflow and hiring new staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Keep maintenance operations running smoothly.
- Prioritize and assign tasks.
- Maintain a good working relationship with employees and contractors.
- Plan for future maintenance requirements.
- Pursue outside training opportunities to obtain advanced qualifications or certification in maintenance personagement.
- Monitor and update employment and labor law compliance plans.
- Design and implement safety training programs for staff.

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
