Job Description An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Inpatient Therapy Team as a Physiotherapy Technical Instructor (band 4). We currently have a vacancy in our Acute Medical Team which will involve working on a wide variety of Care of the Elderly wards and General Medical wards. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and person-centered, with experience of working as a Physiotherapy assistant within a multidisciplinary team. They must be able to demonstrate good communication skills and a basic knowledge of rehabilitation. They will also have good communication skills, be a team player and be able to work flexibly for the needs of the service. The main duties of this post include assisting Physiotherapists to treat patients, work unsupervised to assess and plan discharges and carry out Therapy programmes for your own patient caseload. You will also work alongside other Therapy Assistants to undertake day to day responsibilities within the Therapy department. The Therapy service in this area operates across five days (Monday-Friday), but this could be extended to a 7 days to meet service demands.
