Job Description
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our Maternity Team. You will become part of a dedicated maternity service, striving to deliver excellent care to women, their babies and families.
Under the direction of a Registered Midwife, you will work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care.

You will participate in the admission procedure with regards to welcoming, showing to a room, recording basic personal details, observations and urinalysis, when directed by midwife and all care must be recorded in midwifery records
You will participate in the discharge procedure under the direction of the midwife, including making up discharge packs to ensure timely, safe and efficient discharge to community care.
You may be required to record any care given on care plans and in midwifery record.
You will be expected to assist with patient hygiene, including general hygiene, management of continence and perineal care.
You will undertake catheter care, change catheter bags and record urinary output reporting to registered midwife any abnormalities.
You will be required to record hourly urine measurements on fluid balance charts, must report on each occasion to the registered midwife.
Take CSU from urinary catheter port following Trust training and under the direction of the registered midwife.
Remove urinary catheters following training under the direction of a registered midwife.
