We are looking for Food Tour Guides in London!
As one of the world’s leading food tour brands, we rely on incredible guides to bring our tours to life for the thousands of guests that choose to discover places with us. Recently acquired by a major US-based travel group, City Experiences, we are in a fantastic position to take advantage of the return of tourism and are looking for hard-working, inquisitive, passionate storytellers to join our team. We are welcoming applications from experienced guides. You must be dedicated, curious and a good communicator. You will receive a generous per-tour rate.
About you
Do you read recipe books and biographies of chefs or restaurateurs? Are you the one telling stories around the campfire or over a drink? Do you pick the bar or restaurant to go to with friends? Do you have top 5 lists on your phone for every type of food in the city? If so, you could be a great fit for Devour. Above all, you should be passionate about London and its culinary history and scene. It is the passion that will drive you to succeed, learn, research and develop yourself into not only a great guide, but the person that your guests will remember for years to come. You can be the person who ignites an interest in London's food that your guests will carry with them.
Who we are
Officially Devour is a global leader in the food tours industry. We offer dynamic, culturally relevant, and intimate experiences in some of the greatest cities in the world. Unofficially we are a collection of travel, history, food and culture nerds/junkies/obsessives who love sharing our passions with our guests. Many of us began life with Devour as guides. In fact, our co-founders were guides when they began the company in Spain, 10 years ago. As a result, we understand the core importance of guides to our business.
What we do
We run immersive 3-hour walking tours, visiting family-run establishments, where we sample some of London's best food and drink. What we taste is always rooted in a sense of place and clear narrative. These regularly scheduled tours explore London's most iconic, storied neighbourhoods.
Training with Devour
Our tours are nothing without guides. You sit at the centre of our business, and at the front of every guest’s experience. You may be a seasoned pro, but we believe everyone can learn more and continuously improve. As a result, we invest heavily in our guides and their education. We expect a high standard from our guides, and we will support you every step of the way to achieving them.
