Farrow and Ball – Business Systems Analyst, Wimborne (Hybrid)
We are currently looking for a logical individual with excellent trouble shooting skills to join our IT team in Wimborne as a Business Systems Analyst. We are offering this position on a full-time, hybrid basis.

As the Business Systems Analyst you will work within a small in-house business systems (ERP, CRM, EPOS & BI) development and support team to drive continual improvement in Farrow & Ball’s global operations by specifying, developing and testing key improvements to processes and systems. You will embrace and work within the method of delivering AGILE backlog items within two week sprints to demonstrate a little and often approach to delivering change
What we expect from you as a Business Systems Analyst.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scope, design, document and implement developments to agreed success criteria aligned with the business need
- Act as the subject matter expert in relevant business processes and applications
- To follow AGILE sprint methodology under the steering of the Business Systems Manager
- To represent Business Systems in project meetings and take on ownership of tasks
- To stay up to date with latest technology, techniques and methods
- Conduct research from which you'll develop prototypes and proof of concepts
- Look for opportunities to use business systems across other functions in the business
- Stay curious and enthusiastic about using algorithms to solve problems and enthuse others to see the benefit of your work.
- To act as a reporting analyst as and when required (shared with all of the team)

Key Abilities:
- Experience of using IFS9 or above in a busy manufacturing or retail environment, IFS would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle PL\SQL and Basic knowledge of MS T-SQL
- Experience with data migration and data/systems integration methodologies, techniques and tools
- Full understanding of the use of REST and SOAP APIs
- Demonstrable Intermediate Microsoft Excel user
- Task orientated, able to work to fixed deadlines and SLAs
- Logically minded, likes to use data and evidence to support findings
- Excellent communication and empathy skills
- Strong service ethos
- Able to work independently and under pressure from time to time
Key Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years professional experience of using PL/SQL in a production environment
- To have worked with an IT service environment, meeting and exceeding SLAs desirable
- Experience with Power BI or CRM systems would be a distinct advantage
- Experience with sales, distribution, manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics would be desirable.
