The ServiceNow test Manager is responsible for managing the ServiceNow QA function and team, defining and driving forwards SCC’s ServiceNow test strategy.
The ServiceNow test manager will be responsible for the manual and automated testing required to support SCCs ServiceNow platform.
Additionally, the ServiceNow test Managers purpose is to oversee quality control throughout the ServiceNow development lifecycle by building and testing routing protocols and managing the team of ServiceNow QA Testers based in UK, RO and VN.
Key Responsibilities;
- Line manage the ServiceNow QA team;
- Acting as escalation point for them in their daily work
- Developing their skillset and knowledge
- Ensuring the correct level of productivity and quality from the QA team
- Support assigned ServiceNow QA testers in the early stages of new projects providing input to allow appropriate testing is undertaken
- Manage the conduct of ServiceNow tests across all required platforms and ServiceNow.
- Implement automated testing frameworks in the ServiceNow platform to best support the QA function
- Research ServiceNow testing practices to ensure smooth functionality
- Document identified bugs and other ServiceNow issues, and write reports detailing these issues and the potential problems they may create
- Identify possible coding issues in software and make recommendations to fix these issues
- Create new and develop existing test processes to improve efficiency, quality and performance and reduce cost
- Attend appropriate review boards / planning meetings to represent and communication QA needs to the rest of the management team
- Attend project and programme meetings to feed in key QA requirements and deliverables
- Develop and maintain the QA strategy for the business for both manual and automated testing
- Ensure audit processes (e.g. test sign offs) are followed and documented
- Act as an SME to project managers
- Work closely with the developers to share best practices and spot/fill gaps between the two areas
- Act as a customer facing point of contact as and when required
- When required step into projects needing extra support and attention to maintain the appropriate quality and deliverables.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Experience of managing a QA/Test team (preferably ServiceNow)
- Track record of improving performance through the introduction of new processes and best practices
- Deep routed QA experience in both manual and automated testing
- Experience in representing QA in both internal and external settings
- Experience in testing estimations both in terms of resource requirements and tasks estimation and timelines
- Good technical grounding in automation tooling and frameworks
- Strong understanding of software development and testing lifecycles
- ITIL qualified
