We are looking for a Competent No 2 Chef to work closely alongside our Head Chef and to take charge when they're not around.

The Black Lion Hotel is looking for experienced, dedicated hard working chef to join its current team, You'll be Working In A Very Busy Fast Paced Kitchen During The Holiday Season, So We Ask For Experience & Dedication, working as a team with ALL staff members as equals
An experienced No 2 Chef to work Alongside our Head Chef and take the Lead When He's not Available, Day To Day Running, Ordering & input into Menus
New Quay is a busy vibrant seaside town during the summer/ holiday months set on the coast in West Wales a 9 Bedroom Hotel and Public House serving food in our Bar Area, Dining Room & Large Beer Garden overlooking the stunning views of cardigan bay
- You will be required to work a mix of breakfast, lunch & evening service shifts / or long days
- We have a varied home cooked pub menu that we change around 3 times a year with your possible input involved, we take on board suggestions to ways of working, as long as it benefits the establishment.
- We cater for events, parties and family occasions
- During the Summer months we have Fresh Fish from the bay when available ( lobster, crab, prawns & mackerel ) We Rear our own Lamb and have it on the menu when its available. All our other Meat & Cheese is locally sourced where possible and we try to use seasonal produce on our menu.
- we serve lunch & evening to the general public & breakfast to hotel residents other than any events that may involve opening over breakfast times ( sporting events )
This position could potentially have accommodation provided in a one bed flat ( we also have bar/front of house & housekeeping jobs currently available with us )
Due to the nature of hospitality the job will entail weekends, days, evenings & BH working to a rota

Salary: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
