Job Title: Approved Electrician
Base Location: Peterhead Power Station
Salary: £34,148 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time
What will I be doing in this role?
We’re looking for an Approved Electrician to join the Maintenance and Installation team based at Peterhead Power station.
Your role will be hands on, and varied each day but you can expect to be carrying out tasks such as;
- Carry out electrical installation and/or servicing & maintenance work without immediate supervision in a safe, efficient and economical manner in accordance with the current Industry Safety Regulations, and Enerveo Policies and Procedures.
- Set out jobs from drawings and specifications and establish the requirements of a project and requisition the necessary installation materials and ensure compliance and test systems.
- Accept responsibility for the proper completion of jobs and if required, supervise other operatives as well as liaising with Clients, Sub Contractors and Suppliers when necessary.
- Commission and Test Electrical systems & equipment, issue relevant certification as required.
- Where appropriate, undertake day-to-day on-job training of Apprentices, Adult Trainees and others.
What do I need to be successful in the role?
- You will have completed a registered apprenticeship or equivalent method of training and have had adequate practical training in electrical installation and/or servicing & maintenance work.
- A pass in the City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2 or 2351 or 2330 levels 2 and 3 or approved equivalent.
- You have obtained an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and/or servicing & maintenance Work (or approved equivalent) and have Achievement Measurement 2.
- Demonstrated competence and obtained a suitable qualification (the City and Guilds 2382 is a suitable qualification) in the current edition of BS:7671 Requirements for Electrical Installation
- You’re someone who wants to work in a well-established, large company with a long history of developing front line staff into senior management roles
- You enjoy working with a range of colleagues and clients and are able to deliver great service ensuring repeat business
