Working within the Marketing team, with one direct report, you will help maintain and develop the Imagination brand as well as providing an overall company-wide design service that enables and empowers all aspects of the business to look, communicate and engage as efficiently, sleekly and professionally as possible. But it doesn’t stop there. Internally, we need your touch to drive emotional engagement of our employees and make Imagination continue to be a great place to work.
You will be involved in the following areas:
Leadership
- Be a professional, motivated and dependable lead of Imagination’s creative resources
- Be capable of persuasively communicating complex narratives into simple, compelling and attractive ideas
- Not be afraid to refine, expand, or challenge briefs as a key part of a successful creative process
- Help internal clients understand and achieve their requirements utilising excellent listening and communication skills to encourage dialogue and collaboration
- Understand business objectives and constantly look for opportunities to contribute to them creatively
- Be ready and willing to evolve the direction of the Creative team to best meet the needs of the business following creative and social trends
- Inspire the creative team to be passionate, ambitious and confident in their work
Brand
- Develop, maintain, implement and communicate Imagination’s brand and its guidelines – internally and externally as appropriate
- Encourage colleagues to embrace the Imagination brand by giving them the confidence to feel empowered by our guidelines, rather than restricted
- Strive to keep the brand moving forward and feeling fresh without deviating from the powerful equity it has built for itself
- Understand the role of copy within creativity, making clear and powerful words an integral part of the creative offering
Business
- Direct, create and optimise graphical assets for a range of physical and digital channels including web, social, print, exhibition stands and PowerPoint
- Ensure all parts of the business are supported with the creative guidance, tools and assets they require to achieve their goals
- Develop Imagination’s first in-house video studio and empower team members to support the video production process
- Deliver engaging short videos for use across all Imagination’s digital channels – internal and externa – including our website, YouTube, social and Yammer
- Understand the business objectives and constantly look for opportunities to use creativity to help drive their successes
Culture
- Understand, use and embody the company values.
- Work closely with Internal Communications and HR to develop and evolve our internal culture
- Take a lead on the image and tone of voice used for internal comms to drive an emotional connection with employees

You'll have:
- A deep passion for creative arts, in particular graphic design, typography and motion graphics
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships
- Excellent skills in core Adobe Creative Suite programs, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier
- Proficient skills in making PowerPoint beautiful
- Excellent layout and art-working skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Confidence in your creative copy writing, using it to add emotional engagement to top level creative outputs
- An approachable and confident manner when working with stake-holders and other team members
- The ability to manage multiple projects through ever-changing priorities to calmly meet goals and deadlines – whilst managing expectations both internally and externally.
