About Manchester University Foundation Trust

As one of the largest acute Trusts in the UK, MFT is a leading provider for a significant number of specialised services including cardiac, respiratory, urology cancer, paediatrics, women’s services, ophthalmology and genomic medicine. Popular shift patterns are available, such as 07.30 – 15.30 and 20.45 – 07.45 (e.g., short-shifts during school hours can be discussed).

What you’ll be responsible for

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the following:

· Assessing and monitoring patient conditions, Checking symptoms and vital signs and arranging diagnostic tests

· Recognising, responding to, and managing emergency situations, Supporting, advising, and educating patients and their families

· Plan, deliver and evaluate standards of evidence-based nursing care, Administering intravenous drips or different types of medication

· Recognising deterioration in the physical or mental condition of a patient and taking appropriate action / escalation

You’ll have the following qualification/experience:

· A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital environment within the last 3 years

· Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices

· Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines

· Undertake regular mandatory training*

*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
