Grade UE04: £21,630 - £23,715 per annum

Full-time: 35 hours per week + 2.5 hours contractual overtime (totalling 37.5 hours per week)
Working pattern: Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours per day

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a passion for animals and the drive to make a difference. We are a large veterinary and teaching hospital with a great team of vets, nurses and assistants who are all committed to animal health and welfare. This is a demanding role and requires dedication, proactivity, flexibility, a strong work ethic and a strong belief in delivering the highest standard of patient care.
This is a new position, due to increasing caseload, joining our existing ACA team. We have a full 6-8 week training programme where you will shadow our friendly and experienced staff to learn the ropes.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable candidate who is interested in all aspects of hospitalised animal care such as kennel cleaning, feeding inpatients, laundry, walking dogs, assisting vets and vet nurses with procedures on dogs, cats, and exotics, grooming and general day to day patient care.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Experience working with animals in a veterinary setting is essential.
- Ability to work alone as well as part of a team is essential.
- Excellent communication skills are essential to this role.
