Overview:
At Henry’s our front of house staff are key to the smooth and efficient day to day operation of the business. You will be the point of contact for all customers throughout their whole experience with us. As a member of our front of house team we will expect you to be presentable, approachable and efficient with a keen eye for detail. We like our customers to arrive to a warm welcome and feel looked after and valued throughout their experience.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to be organised and efficient during a busy service.
- Increase product knowledge across the board including attending regular training days.
- Follow food hygiene regulations and work within the guidelines of the health and safety training provided
- Ensure set up and close down procedures are completed thoroughly.
- Conduct cellar duties, including daily and weekly checks and cleaning.
- The ability to use initiative to support other FOH team members when possible.
- Opening and closing of the restaurant.
- Responsibility of all storage areas.
- Keeping the bar clean and tidy including following cleaning rotas and schedules.
- Monthly stock takes and stock reports.
- Responding efficiently and accurately to customer queries.
- Producing content for social media accounts and the website.
- Being the first face the customer sees when they arrive.
- Ensure there is a keen eye for detail including ensuring consistency is executed throughout all drinks productions, preparations and service.
- Making sure all deliveries are correctly stored in line with company policies.
- Being able to take orders efficiently at the table.
- Serving food and beverages in a professional manner with a high level of customer service.
- Setting and clearing tables in the correct manner.
- Checking the customer is enjoying their meal and take action to correct any issues.
- Escorting customers to their tables.
- Have a good understanding of our bookings system.
- Taking bookings over the phone and in person.
- Informing customers of daily specials.
- Explaining how menu items are prepared including cooking methods and allergen information.
- Removing dishes and glassware from tables and resetting for future bookings.
- Stocking service areas including linen, tableware, glassware, coffee and food.

Part-time hours: 40 per week
Salary: £10.00-£12.00 per hour

- Catering: 1 year (preferred)

- Bartending: 1 year (preferred)
