Are you an enthusiastic and committed individual with great organisational and communication skills and experience in meeting administration and minute taking? If so, and you're looking for a job with flexible, part time hours, then this could be an excellent role for you!
Provide vital administrative support to our schools across Hampshire!
This is a rewarding and challenging role that will give you the opportunity to support governors and trustees across a range of schools to deliver the best outcomes for their pupils. You will administer and minute board and committee meetings, which are mainly held in the evening, and advise on governance legislation and policy following appropriate training.
You must be able to work under your own initiative, manage deadlines and maintain accurate records. The ability to remain impartial, comply with data protection legislation and maintain confidentiality is essential. You will need access to the internet and a home computer with Microsoft Word (or a compatible application). The role is mostly home-based with the flexibility to complete clerking tasks around your existing commitments. There is a requirement to travel to the school/s to which you are assigned to clerk their governance meetings. We aim to link you with schools that are close to where you live.
We offer a comprehensive training programme, mentoring for your first few months in post and on-going support from the Clerking Team.
The contract will be for a minimum of 136 hours per annum but once you are established in the role, there will be opportunities to greatly increase your working hours to make this a significant part-time post.
We currently have multiple posts available across the following areas, although we will also accept applications from all areas in Hampshire. Please state a preference for a location that suits you in your application:
Winchester & Eastleigh
New Forest (West)
Southampton
Fareham & Gosport
East Hampshire
Hart & Rushmoor
Please note that this advert may close early depending on the volume of applications we receive. We would therefore encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
