Job Summary
NHS Blood and Transplant has an exciting opportunity for Senior Systems Developer to join our in-house development team working in a friendly and progressive environment based in Birmingham.
You will be responsible for the analysis, design and maintenance of multiple applications critical to our blood supply chain, used by hospitals across the country, as well as helping to replace some legacy components with up to date solutions. You will also be working on server management both on-premise and Azure cloud and DevOps. You’ll have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and creatively when resolving problems. You must have a passion for innovation and a can-do attitude to creating new software systems.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include:

Understanding the architecture of existing CRM systems.

Analysis, estimation, design and build on CRM systems.
-
Impact analysis & design for timely Microsoft upgrades on CRM systems.
-
Propose & mentor team for best practises.
-
Onboard self and abide with NHSBT Quality assurance processes.
-
Engagement to efficiently transition new CRM systems to Systems Development – EAST.
-
Liaison with Product Owner, Business and varied stakeholders on the project.

Supporting DevOps team during Releases.

About You
Qualifications and Training

Relevant degree level plus practical experience or Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science.

Extensive training in software development tools and methodologies and in database technologies, including .Net technologies and SQL Databases.

Demonstrates commitment to own continued professional development (CPD).
Experience and Knowledge
- Knowledge and substantial proven experience in software development, with experience in the majority of:
