Join Houdini's as a Games Master!
We are looking for enthusiastic staff to help with the running of our exciting, award winning Escape Rooms in our brand new site in Doncaster, created by the industry leading Houdini’s Escape Room Experience.
The role consists of guiding our customers through the exciting challenges of escaping from one of our high quality, immersive rooms.
· It is a varied, exciting, and fun role with several responsibilities and expected qualities:
We are we looking for you to have the following:
· A confident individual who is comfortable speaking in front of groups of up to 8 people and holding their attention. Ideal candidates will have some acting or performance background.
· Someone who can look after the clients and pay attention to their needs. Able to read the audience and interact with them to suit their personalities, helping them feel comfortable and relaxed. Be able to tell when teams need intervention in their game and when to hold back
· We are not expecting an in-depth knowledge of escape rooms (though if you have any experience of games this is a bonus). Ability to learn quickly and adapt would be an advantage. The subtleties of running a high-quality escape experience and understand different teams require different approaches will be part of your training. You also need to feel confident working alone, without constant supervision.
· You must be fully focused whilst monitoring your team to ensure that you can always help them quickly and appropriately. You must ensure there are absolutely no errors when resetting the room - a single reset error can ruin the entire experience, full training will be given
· We expect you to be flexible and reliable. Evenings and weekends are a must.
· Working as an escape room Games Master is an excellent role for those with an interest in, or experience with:
o Theatre students, actors, or actresses
o The escape room and gaming industry
o Entertainment industries
· It also provides you with a behind-the-scenes look into the design of entertainment products, escape rooms, puzzles and challenges, props. Some Games Masters end up becoming involved in game design, sales, social media, graphics and marketing.

Salary: £9.00-£11.00 per hour
