Joining our proactive and diverse Mental Health Business Support team, you can develop a career in social care by providing administrative support to teams responsible for helping people with mental health conditions and substance misuse issues, as well as their families and carers.
Our Business Support team provides a high quality service to our social care practitioners, partners, third parties and the public. This is a varied and rewarding role in a demanding environment, where your proven track record in administration can make a real difference.
Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build relationships with colleagues across the department, and to provide the highest standard of Personal Assistant support to our District Service Manager. Using your attention to detail and your strong organisational skills, you’ll schedule meetings and take accurate minutes. Your supervisory skills, or willingness to learn these, will enable you to manage and supervise our Senior Administrative Assistants. Your flexibility and ability to work both under your own initiative and collaboratively, will play a key role in the smooth running of our busy team. Your empathy and customer focused approach will enable you to occasionally provide phone cover and manage calls from distressed clients sensitively.
This is a hybrid working role, meaning that you’ll have the flexibility to work from home or from the office. There is a minimum expectation of 1 day per week office presence, depending on business needs. Equally, full-time office presence can be accommodated if preferred.
Hampshire County Council is a flexible employer interested in making the most of your skills and offers a great work life balance. We will also invest in you through our internal development programmes and training. Hampshire County Council offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
