Job description
This role is for a junior accountant or bookkeeper, ideally suited to someone who has trained in AAT or is part way through it. The position is fully remote, with the opportunity for flexible working hours.
You will undertake a varied role, which will include the preparation of VAT returns and Payroll. You will be providing bookkeeping and accounting support to our ecommerce clients and working with cloud accountancy software like Quickbooks and Xero.
We offer progression up to accountant level and beyond. We ensure all our staff are learning and progressing by providing training internally and externally (ACCA/ACA/AAT).
Responsibilities
· General bookkeeping duties to prepare VAT returns
· Processing of monthly payroll for clients
· Working with cloud accountancy software’s, predominantly QB and Xero
· Bringing the accounts up to TB level ready for accounts preparation
· Liaising with clients and the team to ensure we have all the information needed.
Position Requirements:
· Actively studying or completed a finance qualification (e.g. AAT)
· 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
· Extensive Payroll experience
· Experience preparing VAT returns
· Ideally have experience using both Xero and Quickbooks
· Good knowledge of Microsoft office incl. Excel
· Strong written and verbal communication is essential
· Accounts preparation experience is a bonus
