We’re currently hiring for full-time Pickers at our Birmingham depot on the night shift. The role will include picking orders ready to be delivered the following day. You will be working as part of a key supportive team within the depot, where you will take ownership to ensure the process of picking a customer’s order with good attention to detail and can work well in a busy environment.
What will you be doing as a Picker?
· Picking and preparing customer’s orders ready for dispatch in an organised and timely fashion
· Stock replenishment following correct procedures
- Taking responsibility for the zone that you work in; this includes ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained
· Supporting other departments as required
What do you need to be a Picker?
- Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability
- Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good time management as you will be working at speed
- Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets
· Able to work quickly and to deadlines
· Confidence using handheld computerised tills and barcode scanners
What’s on offer?
· Rate of pay: £6.50 to £9.50
· 40hours per week: On a rota basis which will include weekends & occasional unsociable hours
