Key Responsibilities

Emptying waste bins, replacing bin liners, transporting waste material to designated areas.
Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops.
Mopping floors with wet or damp mops.
Suction cleaning carpeted areas and “spot” cleaning carpets.
Using electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training).
Using electrically powered pick up machines.
To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves and fitments.
To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, sanitizer, hand lotion, paper towels.
To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths and showers.
The use of chemical agents as directed by the Supervisor in the discharge of cleaning operations or maintenance procedures, after receiving proper instructions and training.
To undertake wall washing or inside window pane cleaning to a height no greater than body height plus an arm’s extension from floor level.
To clean kitchen areas including fridges and drinks machines and replenish kitchen hand towels and tea towels.

Cleaners are to report to the Supervisor any factors that are likely to affect his/her work which they consider that maintenance team should be aware.
To correct any audit failure tasks immediately.
To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health and Safety, and Personal Hygiene.
Know and understand the COSHH risk assessments.
To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times and equipment is kept clean and in good working order. Report faulty machinery / equipment immediately.
To ensure company provided uniform is kept clean and tidy and is worn at all times whilst at work.
To use every effort to develop and maintain effective working relationships with our customer and ISS colleagues.(Service with a Human Touch)
To attend training as required by your Manager.
Report all accidents and dangerous occurrences to your line manager.
Any other duties as may be reasonably requested within the grade of the post.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £10.50 per hour
