The team is one of the largest Local Government purchasing functions, helping to manage the authority’s £1.6bn annual budget. We provide strategic leadership, direction, innovation and control across the full range of the Council's commissioning, procurement, contract and supplier management activities in order to deliver value for money and efficiency improvements, whilst ensuring continuity and quality of supply.
Taking on the role of Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist, the successful candidates will be supporting the Procurement & Supply Chain Managers. The role will include the development of routes to market, drafting tender documentation and commercial contracts, and in some roles there will be contract management activity.

We are recruiting two temporary roles, one full time (37 hours per week to December 2023) and one part time temporary role covering maternity leave (22.2 hours per to August 2023).
