Engineering Supervisor Team Leader
We have an exciting opportunity for a driven, results focused leader with previous experience in a supervisor or team leader role.
Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for manage maintenance and facilities at our Colwick/ Leicester site. Reporting directly to the Engineering manager you will be responsible for training and development staff and ensuring the smooth running of operations and the upkeep of plant. As an excellent maintenance supervisor must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. A knowledge of health and safety and the drive to engineer out faults. The Engineering Supervisor must have technical skills and knowledge of at least one discipline, electrical or mechanical. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling are also essential.
The goal is to ensure that operations are in a good order and safe condition at all times.
Responsibilities Include:

Implementation of TPM and Autonomous maintenance

Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work to engineers

Assist recruitment, supervise and training of maintenance staff

Control and supervision of contractors during planned maintenance tasks

Inspect and maintain building facilities

Contribute to cost savings and constant improvement

Monitor inventory of materials and equipment

Participate in co-ordinaton of projects

Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations

Inspection of plant periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance

Be conversant with COSSH, LOLER, PUWER and other periodic statutory inspections
Requirements

Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role

Strong technical ability

Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations

Understanding of industry best practices

Excellent planning and leadership abilities

Ability to fault find and engineer solutions

Computer literate

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Mechanical and/ or electrical qualifications

Health and safety qualification, Nebosh or IOSH
