To support our strategic growth, we are searching for a highly experienced Operations Manager to join our senior management team.
Our ideal candidate will have led large teams with multiple direct reports. The main purpose of this position is to have responsibility for managing the local processing and workforce, planning production logistics activities.
This key role will report directly to our Head of Operations and step in in their absence.
Main responsibilities and duties for this role will include:

Daily monitoring and review of process performance

Ensure production targets are met
Plan and manage the execution of product demand to meet customer requirements
People management 50%
Promote Becketts Foods policies within the process teams
Manage the activities of the production team on site to deliver production in full
Improve the skill base of our workforce to increase competencies
Set high standards for yourself and your team
Support the continuous development of our people
Skills and experience required to be our new Operations Manager
Food production experience is essential
Management responsibility of a large team of more than 100 people
Data savvy not only providing reports but the ability to understand your numbers
Experience in managing all aspects of a manufacturing organisation from intake to despatch
In depth knowledge of operational issues, customers requirements, product quality and application specifications
SHE (leadership) experience
Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement knowledge and experience
Staff engagement and culture change experience
Practical approach to problem solving
Sound financial skills including budget management
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Excellent leadership skills - communicate clear objectives, provide feedback, suggest improvement for individual performance, coaches
Excellent change management skills - ability to adapt to changing business needs, introduce new ways of thinking, behaving and apply new ideas
Manage conflicting priorities within tight deadlines
Be within a commutable distance to Coventry
